now the fun part

It’s been a long road to get here, but fabrication is officially underway! NYC-based Worksman Cycles was able to provide us with a cargo trike frame at a fantastic price.  Thank you to Wayne Sosin and everyone at Worksman for helping get our project off the ground within our timeframe and budget! We like to think of it as the blank canvas that’s going to become an incredible functional art piece in the coming weeks.

More amazing news: the mobile farm stand has been featured on the Boston Globe’s online version, boston.com.  Thank you to Mattapan correspondent Patrick D. Rosso for giving us an awesome publicity boost!

On that same note, with only 5 days to go for our online fundraising, www.indiegogo.com/mattapanmobilefarmstand has successfully raised an incredible $2,590! We’re also thrilled to welcome aboard our newest sponsors Precision Laser of Pawtucket, RI, who will be donating laser cutting services for the farm stand canopy and Boston-based design and development company Urbanica. Thank you for your contributions — we can’t do this without your support!
